Georgia Vintage Ride
Sunday was another crystal clear Georgia
fall day. Rider mounts included 13 vintage BMWs and one
1947 Harley Knucklehead. We cruised the Georgia backroads
and ended up at High Falls State Park, about 60 miles
south of Atlanta, where we were treated to jumbo shrimp,
boiled cajun style, by the BMW Motorcycle Owners club
of Georgia. After lunch we visited a large motorcycle
swap meet at Atlanta's Lakewood Fairgrounds, where our
BMWs stood out amongst a sea of Harleys. We ended the
day's ride at the Vortex Bar and Grill in Little Five
Points. Our remaining six hard core elite riders consumed
four pitchers for the road and one more round for the
ditch. A good time was had by all!
